Terms of Service

The short version. Use it for lawful work. Pay for the tier you use. You own your data and can leave with it. It is provided as-is, and our liability is limited to what you paid us.

The service

ModelReins dispatches work to AI workers you control and relays the results back to you. Software you install — the Companion, the Saddle extension, the worker SDK — is licensed under BSL 1.1; see the LICENSE file in each repository for its exact terms.

Your account

Keep your credentials and API tokens secure; activity under your account is your responsibility. One account per person or organisation. You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful purposes, or to generate content that is illegal where you or we operate.
Do not attempt to access other tenants' data, disrupt the service, or circumvent quotas and rate limits.
Do not resell the hosted service as your own. Self-hosting for your own organisation is governed by BSL 1.1.
You are responsible for complying with the terms of any AI provider you route to.

Plans, quotas and billing

Paid plans bill monthly through PayPal until cancelled. Lifetime is a one-time payment.
Quotas are enforced and are stated on the pricing section of the home page. We will tell you before reducing what a plan includes.
Cancel any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. We do not prorate partial months.
If something breaks and you were charged for what you did not get, email us and we will refund it. We would rather refund than argue.

Your content

You own your prompts, your outputs, and Roz's memory. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service — storing and transmitting job content so it can be routed and returned to you. We claim no other rights, and we do not train on your content.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running and will say so plainly when it is not. There is no uptime SLA. Scheduled maintenance and occasional failures happen; ModelReins is operated by a very small team.

Termination

You can close your account at any time and export or delete your data. We may suspend an account for a serious or repeated breach of acceptable use, and will tell you why.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. AI output can be wrong; check anything that matters before relying on it. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

If we change these terms materially, we will update this page and note it in the changelog rather than changing things quietly.
